Alliance for CHW Employers
The Alliance for Community Health Worker (CHW) Employers aligned with the RIDOH-CCR efforts to integrate CHWs into organizations/care teams to support the public health response to COVID-19 among priority populations. The Alliance is built on the expertise of current CHW employers and other experts in the field. The Alliance will support other organizations employing CHWs by providing them with the necessary tools to ensure the infrastructure required to promote success and sustainability for this critical workforce.

The Alliance Conducts Site Visits
Beginning in February 2024, the Alliance started conducting site visits for some of our members. These visits allowed us to better understand each organization’s mission, programs, needs, barriers/successes, and how we can offer support to each organization.
We would like to give a special thanks to those organizations who participated:
Connecting for Children and Family, OpenDoors Rhode Island, The Autism Project, Refugee Dream Center, Higher Ground International, and the Parent Support Network of Rhode Island.
Interested in scheduling a site visit? Contact the Alliance’s Engagement Coordinator, Rachel Young.
Meet the Alliance Advisory Committee:
The Alliance team has formed an advisory committee of RI organizations that share a common vision of promoting and advancing the field of CHWs aimed at supporting the long-term efforts of the Alliance and, through strategic partnerships and advocacy efforts, will strive to advance the recognition, sustainability, and effectiveness of CHWs as vital contributors to statewide ecosystems.
